Transformers: The Last Knight

Lobo: Michael Bay (Transformers: The Last Knight, above) has met with executives at Warner Bros. and DC to discuss Lobo. The DC comic book character is an antiheroic alien who is an interstellar bounty hunter. Bay gave notes on the latest script by Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman); if Bay likes the changes that are made, discussions with him to direct may go forward. [The Wrap]


Action Man: James Bobin (The Muppets, above) will direct Action Man. It’s inspired by an action figure launched in Britain in 1966, which was itself a licensed copy of Hasbro’s very popular military figure G.I. Joe. Simon Farnaby (Paddington 2) will write the script. Phantom Thread

The Girl in the Spider’s Web: Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread, above) has joined the cast of The Girl in the Spider’s Web, the sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Claire Foy, Sylvia Hoeks and Claes Bang play the leading roles; the film is currently in production under the direction of Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe). I Feel Pretty Trailer: In the first trailer for I Feel Pretty, Amy Schumer suffers a head injury, causing her to believe that her appearance has radically changed, to the befuddlement of her friends and, indeed, everyone around her.
