Transformers: The Last Knight

Triple Frontier: Mark Wahlberg (Transformers: The Last Knight, above) is in talks to star in Triple Frontier. If things work out, he would replace Ben Affleck, who dropped out last week. Charlie Hunnam (The Lost City of Z), Garrett Hedlund (Mudbound), Adria Arjona and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) are already confirmed to star. The thriller is set in a notorious crime zone in South America where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet; J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) will direct. [Deadline]

How to Train Your Dragon

Han Solo: Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, above) will compose the musical score for the Han Solo spin-off movie. Powell’s musical credits include the first two Kung Fu Panda animated adventures, as well as the four Bourne action thrillers starring Matt Damon. He is only the third composer entrusted with creating music for the Star Wars movies, after John Williams and Michael Giacchino (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). The movie is due in theaters on May 25, 2018. []

A Simple Favor: Henry Golding, who recently made his feature acting debut in the upcoming comedy Crazy Rich Asians, will star opposite Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in A Simple Favor. Paul Feig (Ghostbusters) will direct the thriller, which follows a so-called mommy blogger (Kendrick) who investigates the mysterious disappearance of her best friend (Lively). The Vault

The Vault Trailer: James Franco stars as an assistant bank manager in The Vault. The first trailer reveals that he gets involved when a bank robbery goes very, very wrong and edges into horror territory. Francesca Eastwood, Taryn Manning and Scott Haze also star; the thriller will open in theaters on September 1. [Movieclips]
