Bumblebee: Our first look at Hailee Steinfeld (above) in Bumblebee (below) reveals the actress in character as Charlie Watson, a young mechanic in 1987 who discovers a beat-up old car in a junkyard may hold the key to defending the universe. The Revenant

Star Trek: Mark L. Smith (The Revenant, above) will write the screenplay for the next installment in the Star Trek franchise, based on an idea by Quentin Tarantino. The plan is to make an R-rated, adult-oriented movie, which Tarantino may direct. If things work out, Tarantino would also serve as a producer along with J.J. Abrams. [Deadline]

Eternal Beauty: Currently winning acclaim for her performance in Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy romance The Shape of Water (above), Sally Hawkins says she hopes that production on Eternal Beauty, in which she would star, will begin production in spring or summer of 2018.
