The Crooked Man: In The Conjuring 2 (above), a demonic spirit known as the Crooked Man made a very scary appearance. Now a spin-off movie is on its way, featuring that character. James Wan created the story and Mike Van Waes has been hired to write the screenplay. It’s the fourth spin-off movie in The Conjuring horror universe, following Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation and The Nun. [Variety]

Rampage: Dwayne Johnson shared a new photo from Rampage that gives a taste of the destruction that is in store. Inspired by a classic video game, the movie revolves around apes and monsters destroying cities. It’s scheduled to open on April 20, 2018. [Twitter]

The Nice Guys

Every Day: Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys, above) will star in Every Day, based a popular novel by David Levithan. Jesse Andrews (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) wrote the script and Michael Sucsy (The Vow) will direct. Production is expected to begin next month in Toronto. Rice will play “a shy teenage girl who falls in love with an entity … who travels and inhabits a new body of another teenage boy or girl in the area each day.” [Deadline]

Jungle Trailer: Daniel Radcliffe stars in the first trailer for Jungle, based on a true story. He plays a young man from Israel who travels to the Amazon rainforest, only to be led astray by a guide and left to fight for his own survival. Thomas Kretschmann, Alex Russell and Joel Jackson also star; Greg McLean (The Belko Experiment) directed. Look for the movie in theaters later this year. [Movieclips]
