Tulia: Seth Gordon (Baywatch, above with Dwayne Johnson) will direct Tulia. It’s based on a book by Nate Blakeslee, Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town, which in turn was drawn from a real-life case in which 39 people were sentenced to prison, largely due to the work of a “notoriously unreliable undercover officer.” [THR]

Exit West: Morton Tyldum (Passengers, above) will direct Exit West, based on a popular novel by Mohsin Hamid. Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers 4) acquired the screen rights and will serve as producers. The novel is described as an allegorical tale about the global refugee crisis. [Deadline]
