Quentin Tarantino: Recently we heard that Quentin Tarantino (The Hateful Eight, above) will be directing an ensemble movie set in the summer of 1969, unfolding in Los Angeles at the same time as the Charles Manson-ordered murders of actress Sharon Tate and four others. Now the upcoming movie has been dated for theatrical release on August 19, 2019, which also marks the 50th anniversary of two of the murders committed; the other three were committed the night before. Call Me By Your Name: The Los Angeles Film Critics Association named Call Me By Your Name as Best Picture of 2017. The movie’s star, Timothee Chalamet was awarded Best Actor, while Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) received the Best Actress prize.
