The crime thriller is based on a true story about a police detective who went undercover as a member of the Ku Klux Klan in 1978. John David Washington (TV’s Ballers) is in negotiations to star. 48 Meters Down: A sequel to sleeper box office hit 47 Meters Down (above) is on its way. Original filmmaker Johannes Roberts will return to direct the sequel, which will be titled 48 Meters Down. This time the location will move from the waters off Mexico to Brazil, revolving around a group of young women who explore underwater ruins, only to find they are inhabited by sharks. [THR]
